I am trying to come up with a trip for four days to Wales with my Parents, and I would love suggestions. We would be traveling from an to London.
A couple of our preferences:

For the most part, our favorite times traveling are bit off the beaten path. While we are happy to and frequently want to see to see a true piece of history, a good museum, etc with other tourists, We abhor tourist traps, and love see life from the local's eye.

We love the outdoor. A hike...etc is just our style.

We have…

Hi fello-travellers
I'll be in Conwy for 2.5 days and want to explore as much of the north coast as possible by train - please can someone offer suggestions as to routes and stops along the way? I've heard that Caernafon, and the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland train trips are beautiful. i don't have any idea of time-frames between towns.
Would someone be kind enough to suggest a comprehensive 2 day itinerary for me/ I'd be most grateful.
With appreciation,
CHarmian

Hello first post on here,

A friend and I are planning on doing a trip from the coast of wales probably somewhere like Dinas Dinlle to the peak of Snowdon and back again to do the 0ft to peak full experience. We're planning on camping a night probably part way down from Snowdon, so im just looking for some advice. I've been looking into how legal wild camping is, and to be honest im still somewhat confused.

If I'm right wild camping is legal on public land in snowdonia but obviously private…

Hi,
Some friends and I would like to travel outside of London between Christmas and New Years given we all have time off here. I'm currently thinking of doing Bath [27th], then St. Ives [28th, 29th] and returning to London on the 30th. We will be going by train for all of it (2 girls, 1 guy).

I think there will be plenty to do in Bath including the spa there so I'm quite happy with this choice but I'm not so sure about St. Ives. It's a long trip and I'm wondering if there is much to do there in…

Dr. Who

My son, an avid Dr. Who fan, would like to visit sites where Dr. Who shows have been filmed in Wales, Scotland, and London. I need to know which airport it would be best to fly into. Any and all touring advice is welcomed.

I will be traveling to Wales when this game is on and I'd love to go to it. It's a complete sell out but does anyone know where I can get a ticket? I don't mind paying a bit extra but I can't find it listed on any of the ticket resale sites.

If anyone has spare or knows where I should look it would be much appreciated thanks

Seems like there are Three options, all about 2 hours by car:

  1. Southern route: A40/A484 via Llandeilo - Abergwili
  2. Middle route: B4337/4336/A486/A475 via Llansawel - Llandysul
  3. Northern route: A482/A475/B4570 via Cwmann - Llanwnnen - Pren-gwyn

Hi, I am cycling from Holyhead to Chepstow from this Sunday. I am plotting some towns on a Google Map that might be nice to stay in and I wondered does anyone have any tips for lovely little towns or villages between Snowdonia and Brecon Beacons? Quite happy with small or cultural quiet places, also recommendations of where to skip would be useful.

Thanks!

John

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone could recommend a small and off the beaten track campsite on the Gower Peninsula? We have a dog and would love to have a campfire too. So far I have Kennexstone which allow both but wondered if there were anymore around. Many thanks.
