Tam Thanh Cave

Northeast Vietnam

Tam Thanh Cave is vast and seductive, with a water pool inside and natural ‘window’ offering a sweeping view of the surrounding rice fields.

A few hundred metres above the cave exit are the ruins of the Mac Dynasty Citadel, but the trail is very overgrown and it's a hard slog. It’s a lovely, deserted spot, with stunning rural views.
