Traditional Vietnamese Water Puppet Shows remain one of the cultural draws for most travellers to Ha Noi City. Originating in the sodden rice paddies of the Red River Delta in North Vietnam. The tradition of water puppet theatre stems from a time when rice paddy fields were flooded and villagers would make entertainment by standing in the waist-deep water with the puppets performing over the water. Using large rods to support the puppets it appeared as if they were moving across the water with the puppeteers hidden behind a screen. Notes: This tour is not available on 15, 16, 17, 18 Feb, 2018. From 19th Feb onward, the tour will be opened against.
