Joining this 2-day tour exploring the Ninh Binh’s highlight spots such as: Tam Coc Grottoes which is known as Ha Long among the rice paddies, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital which was the capital of Vietnam in the 10th and 11th centuries, Bai Dinh Pagoda - the largest pagoda in Vietnam and wonderful Van Long Nature Reserve, you will have a great opportunity to explore Vietnam’s beautiful landscape, as well as enrich your knowledge of Vietnam’s history and religion.
Day 1: Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc (L, D)You will be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter around 8 am to start your journey. Upon your arrival in Ninh Binh, you will spend one hour visiting the Dinh and Le temples of the Ancient Capital Hoa Lu, which are dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the founders of the ancient capital during the 10th century.Then, you will be transferred to your hotel to check in, have relaxing time and enjoy lunch featuring local specialties at the restaurant.In the afternoon, you will continue your trip by driving to Tam Coc (you might choose riding a bicycle option) and get on board of a small sampan to visit Tam Coc which means literally “Three Caves”. With Ha Long type views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious yet inviting caves, as well as countryside sights, like peaceful streams, rice paddies and deserted green fields, Tam Coc is often referred to as “Ha Long among the rice paddies”.Finally, you will enjoy dinner at the local restaurant and stay overnight at hotel in Ninh Binh.Day 2: BaiDinh pagoda – Van Long Nature Reserve – Hanoi (B, L)After breakfast and checking out your hotel, you will take time to explore the Buddha Prayer place in Bai Dinh Pagoda, which is well known as the largest pagoda in Vietnam, famous for 500 La Han statues, biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam at the height of 10 meters, and the weight of 100 tons.Next, you will arrive at the Van Long Nature Reserve. You will board a bamboo rowboat as soon as you arrive for a 1.5-hour rowing along this beautiful wetland of Van Long and then admire magnificent sceneries surrounded by picturesque rice paddies and towering limestone mountain peaks. With an area of 3000 hectares, Van Long natural reserve has 32 beautiful grotto such as: Ca Grotto, Bong Grotto, Rua Grotto, Chanh Grotto, each grotto has an unique beauty.Then, you will enjoy lunch featuring some local special dishes such as Goat meat with elderberry, pork storage vessel at a local restaurant.You will drive back to your hotel in Hanoi and end your tour at late afternoon around 5 pm.
