There are also direct flights to Espiritu Santo from Brisbane. From New Zealand, Air Vanuatu/Qantas flies direct from Auckland to Port Vila; and from Auckland via Nadi and Suva (Fiji), Honiara (Solomon Islands) and Noumea (New Caledonia).

Bauerfield International Airport Port Vila's airport is 6km from the centre. It has an ANZ ATM, an NBV branch for currency exchange, a cafe and duty-free shopping. It's adjacent to the domestic airport, which has a Westpac ATM, a cafe, mobile phone outlets, and souvenir and book stall.
Pekoa International Airport Three kilometres from Luganville, Santo's airport has an ANZ ATM, cafe, mobile phone outlets, duty-free shop and free wi-fi.
Vanuatu is a very popular cruise-ship destination, with ships stopping at Port Vila (Efate), Santo, Wala (Malekula), Mystery Island in the remote south and Pentecost during land-diving season. The ongoing construction of a new wharf at Luganville by Chinese company Shanghai Construction Group, expected to continue until 2017, has caused disruption to some cruise-ship berths in recent years; however, cruise ships are once again docking at Luganville.
Pacific Sun, Pacific Dawn, Pacific Jewel and Pacific Pearl, operated by P&O (www.pocruises.com.au), are the most regular visitors; Sea Princess, Golden Princess and Carnival Spirit also call in.
The best source of general information on yachting matters in Port Vila is Yachting World Vanuatu. It has a sea-wall tie up and diesel dock, and can arrange customs and quarantine inspections to your buoy; also has hot showers and wi-fi.
The authorised ports of entry for touring yachts are Port Vila (Efate), Luganville (Santo), Lenakel (Tanna) or Sola (Vanua Lava). There are hefty fines if you make landfall in or depart from Vanuatu before customs and immigration have been cleared; 24-hours' notice is required for customs clearance. Port dues are 7875VT for the first 30 days and 100VT per day thereafter. Quarantine clearance is 3000VT and immigration clearance 4800VT.
