Flying Horses Carousel

Rhode Island

This antique merry-go-round has been in this location since 1883. It boasts a unique design: its horses are suspended on chains so that they really do 'fly' outward as the carousel spins around. The flying horses have a mane of real horsehair and leather saddles. Sorry adults: no riders over 12 years old.
