At this casual but trendy Laotian restaurant, chef-owner Seng Luangrath offers fabulously spicy, tart and pungent dishes from her homeland. Named for the baskets that hold sticky rice, its must-tries include naem khao, a crispy coconut rice salad with scallions, sour pork, peanuts and cilantro; and knap pah, banana-leaf-wrapped fish grilled with herbs, dill and ginger.

If you’re daring, check out the 'Jungle' part of the menu, featuring the likes of fried duck heads, pig’s ears, chicken hearts, and even ant eggs.
