Sequoia

Bar in Georgetown

While snazzy, cavernous Sequoia is known mostly as a restaurant, we recommend it as a spot to get an alfresco drink. Umbrella-shaded tables pack a cascading terrace overlooking the Potomac, and though it's a bit cheesy and touristy, there's no denying it jumps on steamy summer nights. Sip and soak up the swanky Georgetown scene.

You can also drink at the bar inside, where Sequoia sports a fresh design in shades of white and Valentine red, with funky neon tube lights buzzing overhead.
