Marvin

Bar in Logan Circle, U Street & Columbia Heights

Named for DC native son Marvin Gaye, this spot is a low-lit lounge and bistro downstairs, serving mostly southern fare. Upstairs, the splendid roof deck packs a mixed 14th St crowd, even in winter, when folks huddle under roaring heat lamps sipping cocktails and top-notch beers. Most nights there’s live jazz or soul music, to boot.

There's a $10 cover charge after 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
