Da Westside Explorer is a feast to the eyes and an opportunity for guest to immerse in the Hawaiian culture with a live narration about the history, legends, geology, and the natural environment of our islands. Guest will be able to take the day off from driving to truly enjoy the sights of the two most beautiful state parks on Kauai in the comfort of an air condition van with large viewing windows. All tours are conducted by the owner making it a very special experience with someone who loves what they do for a living and takes care of every guest needs to detail.Small groups of up to 13 people max will provide each guest with a personalized and intimate experience. On this tour you will visit iconic lookouts and places off the beaten path. You will enjoy a delicious and locally sourced lunch at a cozy mountain lodge. ItineraryThis is a typical itinerary for this productStop At: Russian Fort Elizabeth State Historical Park, Waimea, Kauai, HawaiiWe will visit Cooks landing, where the first western man set foot in Hawaii. We will also visit the Queen Elizabeth Russian Fort and learn about the history of the Russian merchants and traders in Hawaii.Duration: 15 minutesStop At: Waimea Canyon, Waimea, Kauai, HawaiiIn Waimea town we will visit Aunty lilikoi's store so you can shop for some delicious locally made treats made out of passion fruit. We will then head up the Canyon and make several stops in the Waimea Canyon State park including but not limited to: Waimea canyon lookout, Waipo'o Falls, and two other surprise stops.Duration: 1 hourStop At: Koke'e State Park, Kekaha, Kauai, HawaiiIn the Koke'e State park we will visit one of the most iconic lookouts on Kauai, The Kalalau Valley. We will also spend time exploring the Koke'e museum, and we will enjoy a one hour leisure lunch at the Koke'e Lodge Restaurant.Duration: 2 hoursStop At: Kauai Coffee Company, Kalaheo, Kauai, HawaiiWe will visit the largest coffee plantation in the US and sample over a dozen roasts for free. You will also have time to take a short self guided tour, and do some shopping for Kauai grown coffee beans.Duration: 45 minutes
