Vail's trailbreaking new summer venture is a combination of family adventure park and nature center. There are plenty of adrenaline-piqued activities to keep the screams coming – such as ropes courses, a gravity-powered mountain coaster, a climbing wall and a four-hour zipline tour ($199) – but added to the mix are interpretive elements designed to educate participants about the local ecology.

You can purchase activity tickets individually, but unless your time is limited or you plan on doing more hiking than thrill-seeking, you're best off with one of the day passes.

Access is via the Eagle Bahn Gondola in Lionshead.
