More than just a bedroom community for Jackson, the valley on the 'other side' of the Teton Range is possibly the region's worst-kept secret. In addition to the legendary powder of Grand Targhee Ski Area (technically in Wyoming, but only accessible from Idaho), the valley offers miles of hiking, horse riding and mountain biking, acres of snowmobiling, decent climbing, and excellent trout fishing in the South Fork of the Snake River. This is where the locals go to get away from the masses of tourists 'getting away from it all' in Jackson.

Teton Valley is anchored by the tri-village rural-plex of Victor, Driggs and Alta, WY: home to free spirits, potato farmers, ski bums, entrepreneurs and survivalists – many of whom came here for a season and have stayed a lifetime.
