This venerable inn, the only lodging on the Plaza, is not quite as upscale as you might expect – well, apart from the penthouse suite – but it certainly has charm, and the smallish, antique-furnished rooms come with kiva gas fireplaces. There’s also a unique claim to fame – the 'Forbidden Art' paintings by DH Lawrence, banned in 1929 Europe.
