Tour description provided by Viator

Enjoy whale watching and a San Juan Island day trip from Seattle! This is the only cruise that leaves directly from downtown Seattle, allowing you to skip the traffic and get out on the water. With the guidance of a trained onboard naturalist, you will be taken to an area world-renowned for wildlife, where you will be on the lookout for orca, minke and humpback whales as well as Dall’s porpoise, seals, otters, bald eagles and more! Afterwards, you will have a stopover in Friday Harbor for a chance to grab a bite to eat or explore.

Depart at 8:15am from Pier 69 in downtown Seattle and cruise through Puget Sound toward the San Juan Islands, Seattle's secret playground. The roomy seats have plenty of leg room for a comfortable trip. Step out on the deck for a breath of fresh air and take in the beautiful views or enjoy an onboard meal and beverage at your seat (meals and beverages are own expense). On this 3.5-hour scenic route through deception pass, you'll enjoy beautiful island vistas and a multitude of marine wildlife. Upon arrival in the San Juan Islands take a 2.5-hour Whale & Sealife Cruise and continue your cruise through the waters of the San Juan Islands. The whale watching tour departs Friday Harbor at approximately 12:00 pm and returns at 2:30 pm. This 2.5-hour wildlife adventure is great for viewing orcas and other sea life in their natural habitats. The islands are home to three whale families, or pods, that migrate to the island waters for the summer months. You'll then have approximately two hours to spend in town shopping and sightseeing from 2:30-4:30 pm. At 5pm, you'll begin your trip back Seattle and will arrive at Seattle's Pier 69 at approximately 7:45pm. Please note: Whale sightings are not guaranteed. If you don’t see whales on your trip, you are given a free trip to come back.
