When it comes to luxury accommodations, Santa Fe has a number of opulent hotels and posh B&Bs, with some unforgettable historic options within a block of the Plaza. Rates steadily diminish the further you go from downtown, with budget and national chain options strung out along Cerrillos Rd towards I-25.

Book well in advance in summer, particularly during the Indian Market and on opera nights, and also in December.

Camping

There are a good number of campsites within 15 to 30 minutes of the city, both for RVs and tent campers. Hwy 475 (Hyde Park Rd), which leads up to Ski Santa Fe, has several Forest Service campgrounds in a lovely alpine setting.
