Sunshine Rafting has operated on the Stanislaus River out of Knights Ferry, CA for over 30 years. This family-friendly, low-cost trip is perfect for those looking for a scenic and relaxing float trip on the river. This trip is popular among all age groups and is a great value for a full day trip.
Trips start in the morning hours in Knights Ferry, CA.  Once you check in, you receive paddles, life jackets, dry boxes, as well as your raft.  The staff will give you a safety talk, teach you how to steer your boat and give you tips on how to make the most out of your day on the water.  Once you embark on the Stanislaus River, the trip will last roughly 3.5-5 hours, and will cover 7 miles.  About 15 minutes into the trip, you will float through the class II Russian Rapids, a small but fun rapid that will get your heart beating a little faster and will likely get you wet.  Over the next couple of miles you will float past the two bluffs volcanic area, Lover's Leap, and the first rest area.  Four miles into the trip is Horseshoe Park, a large and developed public park where you can use public restrooms, picnic, and generally take a break.  The last half of the trip includes mellow floating, beautiful landscapes, and peeks at various wildlife.  Trips end at Orange Blossom Park, where our team will help you with your equipment, and point you to the shuttle bus that takes you back to your car.
