Travellers depart downtown San Diego at 8.30am on the train for Oceanside. There they are met by Coastal Tours of San Diego and head up the coast to San Juan Capistrano. Highlights include the train ride up the Northern Coast of San Diego, Historic San Juan, The Quaint shops, restaurants and art galleries of Laguna Beach, Incredible beach, Cave + Mansions at 1000 Steps Beach, Inspiration Point in Carona Del Mar,
Balboa Island and Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach, Surfing Walk of Fame + Huntington Beach Pier in Surf City USA.
Starting at the Sante Fe train station in downtown San Diego at 8.30am to board the Coaster up to Oceanside. Panaramic views up the coast till Oceanside and then board Coastal Tours Deluxe Windowless Van. Cruising the coast past Camp Pendleton and into the Historic district of San Juan Capistrano. Walking around the oldest California Mission and Quaint shops before heading off to Dana Point. Driving through the Lantern District and Famous Highway 101 on our way to 1000 steps beach. Descending down 242 steps we arrive at the ocean. Incredible rock formations jutting out into the ocean and stunning multi million dollar mansions hanging over the cliffs. At one end of the beach we explore a cave and at the other end beautiful sand, rock formations and houses. We spend about an hour before we head back up the stairs and over to downtown Laguna Beach. Known for it's beautiful shops and restaurants we explore the town and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Back on the Coast road we head to Ocean Beach Blvd and Inspiration Point. Aptly named for the cliffs and Mansions of exclusive Carona Del Mar looking down over the Ocean. Following Marine Drive we head onto Balboa Island. We walk around the downtown and the Boardwalk before driving onto the ferry to take us to the peninsula in Newport Beach. Famous for it's big beach playground with ferris wheel and rides we take a look around before heading to Surf City USA (Huntington Beach). The Surfing Walk of Fame, the Pier, the Downtown, we experience it all before heading back to Oceanside to catch the train back to San Diego.
