We begin our journey in La Jolla with it's stunning cliffs and ocean Views. Around the corner from Children's pool lie hundreds of seals, sea lions and pelicans that you will be able to photograph at close range. As we ascend to the top of Mt. Soledad you will be able to enjoy a 360 degree panaromic view of San Diego as well as the wall for the Vietnam Memorial. Our next stop is Old Town. Known as the birthplace of California it was here in 1769 that father Junipero Serra established the first of 21 missions. Many of the old buildings are still here today as well as award winning restaurants, shops and museums. Aquick drive along highway 5 takes us over the Coronado Bay Bridge with magnificent views of both sides of the harbor as we descend onto the quaint island of Coronado. Know for it's beautiful beaches and dunes and for the historic and famous hotel Del Coronado. Entering Balboa Park taking the scenic cantilevered multiple-arched bridge built for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. At 1200 acres Balboa Park is the largest urban cultural park in North America exceeding New York's Central Park in size. It's home to gardens, museums, theatres and the world famous San Diego Zoo. Driving towards the waterfront we come to Little Italy, best known for it's restaurants, bars and nightlife. Continuing west we come to the ocean passing the Nautical museum, the Cruise Ship terminal, the USS Midway and the famous kissing statue. We continue along Harbor Drive past Seaport Village and into the Gaslamp Quater. A quick stop at Petco Park before seeing the rest of downtown and returning to your hotel.
