Hideaways is a cove notched in the cliffs with a short strand of golden sand and turquoise shallows. It’s an ideal snorkel and swim spot (when it’s calm), with a teeming reef just off the beach. Be wise and don’t get caught out when the tide comes in.
Park at the tiny, always-crowded lot past the St Regis resort gatehouse, where a path between two fences leads to a steep rope-assisted scramble down to the beach. A path to the left of the gatehouse takes you to Puʻu Poa Beach. Although public, it sits below and adjacent to the St Regis resort and serves as its on-campus beach.
