Since 1927, the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Germantown, that historic trouncing of the Patriots by the British has been reenacted in the grounds of Cliveden, exactly where it happened in 1777.

The battle reenactment is followed by a similar restaging of the British victory party at Grumblethorpe, along with the death of British Brigadier-General James Agnew who was mortally wounded in the battle.
