Guided Snowshoe Hike in Yosemite

Snowshoeing offers you a way to see the park from a different perspective while enjoying outdoor winter fun and low-impact exercise. No experience is needed for this sport–if you can walk, you can snowshoe! You’ll meet your experienced guide at the trail head where you will be provided with snowshoes, trekking poles and simple-to-follow techniques to get you out on the trail. Once you’re ready, strap on your snowshoes and follow your guide along quiet trails, experiencing the Sequoia Grove in its winter beauty. Get incredible views of snow-covered mountains and meadows as you hike, and have plenty of opportunities to stop for photos and rest breaks. Wildlife can be easier to spot in the winter landscape; throughout your hike, your guide will keep an eye out for signs of deer, coyote, bobcats, bears and other creatures that inhabit the area. Choose from two options for your family or group:Beginner Snowshoe HikeEnjoy a pleasant half-day snowshoe hike on a relatively gentle trail in Yosemite Valley or nearby trails. You’ll be provided with basic snowshoeing instructions and the day’s program will be tailored to your experience level. This activity is perfect for beginners and families. Expect to snowshoe hike approximately three miles on a tour that lasts approximately four hours. BRING 32 oz of WATER, LUNCH & SNACKSExtended Snowshoe HikeTravel along some of Yosemite’s most scenic trails on a longer snowshoe hike with more dramatic elevation gains. These demanding hiking tours are perfect for experienced snowshoe hikers and will offer a different perspective on the Valley and High Country. Apple Hill Farm Guided 45-Minute Alpaca Walking Tour

Watauga River Small-Group Rafting from Elizabethton

Meet your guide at the meeting point near the Watauga River. Here you will have access to hot showers, changing rooms, restrooms, a screened-in riverside picnic shelter, private beach and of course free parking.    Please arrive 30-minutes early to check in. Your adventure will begin at the base of the highest TVA electrical producing dam in the Southeast and proceeds through a cliff-sided valley where the water is clear enough to see to the bottom twenty feet below. The Watauga River winds its way through the valley in a moderate, but fast moving fashion that is accentuated with class I and II rapids to keep you focused on the river itself. Around the next corner lies the Anaconda, a class III hydraulic that serves as an excellent chance to get splashed, and cooled off before continuing on with our rafting trip.  After another hour of twists and turns and a few more rapids, the boat delivers you to a private pristine beach at the edge of the river and your journey’s end at our riverside Outpost where you are welcome to relax chat with other rafters.

Four Day 4WD Glamping Tour & Gourmet Dining Experience

ItineraryDay 1: Talbotville and Collingwood SpurStop At: Talbotville Camping AreaWe meet in the heart of the High Country at the town of Dargo where our tour leader will hand out CB radios to those that don’t have one and run through some basic info such as our convoy procedures and radio etiquette. This will be our last chance to refuel and purchase any supplies. Once everyone is ready we will head out of town on the Dargo High Plains Rd to the site of the former gold mining town, Grant. Here we will drop our tire pressures, engage low range and begin a breathtaking descent down McMillans Rd to Talbotville.In Talbotville we will be served lunch and have a coffee or tea, then head back onto the tracks for our first river crossing and through to the summit of Mt Cynthia where we will have a snack for afternoon tea. Dropping back down into the valley we will cross the Wonnangatta River at Eaglevale then follow it downstream to our well-equipped basecamp at Crooked River.We’ll have some time to get settled into our new home and maybe have a swim or a fish before dinner is served at around 7pm. After dinner, our tour leader will give us a rundown of what to expect for the next few days and some basic 4WD training.Duration: 10 minutesMeals included: • Lunch: Chargrilled eye fillet beef, fresh parsley, green pickles, French smoked tomato mustard on a freshly baked baguette. • Dinner: Greek Meatballs Lamb mince with cumin, garlic, mint & Yaya’s blend of spices. The ascent begins just a short distance from our base camp and climbs steeply up towards the Pinnacles where we will serve morning tea and take the short walk up to the fire tower where we’ll enjoy 360 views of the surrounding ranges. After soaking up the stunning views we will head back down Billy Goat Bluff track to basecamp where the tour will conclude after lunch.Duration: 1 hourMeals included: • Breakfast: Poached eggs & free range pulled pork on sourdough toast, topped with hollandaise sauce & parmesan cheese hash browns. • Lunch: Freshly baked sausage rolls filled with beef, carrot, parsley & a secret blend of spices wrapped in crunchy puff pastryNo accommodation included on this day.
