LaGuardia Airport

Airport in Queens

Used mainly for domestic flights, LaGuardia is smaller than JFK International Airport but only 8 miles from midtown Manhattan. It sees about 27 million passengers per year and has been open to commercial use since 1939. American Airlines and Delta have their own terminals here.

A $4 billion plan to completely overhaul the airport, including the construction of a unified terminal and better public transportation links, was announced in 2015 by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
