Our weeklong tour highlights the best of what New York has to offer; from breathtaking mountain peaks to a rare East Coast slot canyon, amazing color displays when the leaves on the trees are at their full glory, to some of the most impressive waterfalls in the world. Our adventurous hikes and adventures are complimented with multiple stops to savor the local breweries, wineries and regional foods of each destination to get the true 'taste' of the local culture. Our weeklong trip loops through the vast State of New York as you make new friends in our small group adventure travel tour. We pick you up in New York City on the morning of departure and after a meet-n-greet with your fellow travelers and tour briefing, we are on our way to adventure!Day 1 consists of hiking the impressive Mohonk Preserve, cider tasting in the heart of New York's apple country and a visit to Kingston; the original Capital of New York State where we visit the historic district and its stunning colonial architecture.Day 2 consists of visiting Cooperstown; famous for beer and baseball! We spend time on the historic hop farm of Brewery Ommegang; makers of the finest Belgian beers outside of Belgium plus free time to explore Cooperstown and a few more breweries along 'The Beverage Trail'.Day 3 is an exciting day hiking and exploring the waterfalls of a rare East Coast slot canyon at Watkins Glen State Park.Day 4 brings us to Niagara Falls where we embark on an included boat ride to the Falls and feel the pressure of the mighty Niagara Falls up close. Afterwards, we cross the border into Canada to visit the world renown wine region of Niagara-On-The-Lake. We stop at wineries to taste the sweet yet sophisticated ice wines the region is famous for. In the evening we return to Niagara Falls to witness the evening illumination of the falls.Day 5 has us driving through the finger lakes with a stop at a winery in the heart of New York's wine growing region. We spend the rest of the day in the university city of Syracuse where we explore the museums, architecture and breweries of this beautiful city.Day 6 is a gorgeous drive through the Adirondack Mountains where we visit the Wild Center. We spend the remainder of the day walking the included activity of the Wild Walk canopy. Free time to explore the lake and local breweries.Day 7 is our last day but before we return to the city we visit the 2 time Olympic city of Lake Placid with free time to explore the Olympic village and quaint, cosmopolitan downtown. A final stop in Lake George to explore this resort town and a final goodbye dinner before the tour ends in New York City.We say good bye to our new tour family and savor the memories of this incredible week to amazing places in the great State of New York.
