A playful spirit marks this excellent Australian-run Indian restaurant, which recently relocated to Union Sq. You can assemble a meal from street food–style dishes such as papadi chaat (chickpeas, pomegranate and yogurt chutney) and potato croquettes stuffed with lobster, or feast on heartier dishes like tandoori lamb chops or scallop coconut curry. A $62 tasting menu is also on offer.

It all happens beneath the benevolent gaze of babujis (respected elders), whose photos adorn the walls.
