Bar SixtyFive

Cocktail Bar in Midtown

Sophisticated SixtyFive sits on level 65 of the GE Building at Rockefeller Center, making it the highest vantage point in Midtown that doesn't require a ticket. Views are undeniably breathtaking, but at peak times it can feel like a cattle market: walk-ins are herded into a central standing area. If you want to sit down by a window, you'll need to reserve a table.

There's also balcony seating (weather permitting), which can be reserved with a $65 minimum spend. Dress well (no sportswear or guests under 21) and if you arrive without a reservation aim for 5pm so you don't have to queue.

At the other end of the corridor is the revamped Rainbow Room, a legendary, elite nightclub turned swanky nosh spot serving Sunday brunch as well as dinner on select evenings (see the website).
