Dutch Art Historian Mariska Beekenkamp was schooled at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London, where she did her MA in the Golden Age of Dutch Art. After 10 years of guiding and lecturing in London, Amsterdam, and mainland Europe, she now guides private tours in New York City introducing people to the history, background and fun facts of Netherlandish art.
Time and location should be discussed in advance. NYC has a number of collections with good holdings of Dutch Art from the 17th century, especially the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Frick Collection.Mariska will take you on a specialist tour through the collection, focussing on works of art from the Golden Age of Dutch Art (17th century).Mariska is available to take you on a private tour through any of these collections at a mutually agreable time.Meeting Mariska at the venue, this tour does not include transport to the venue, although this can be arranged separately.The tour does not include entrance fees, although some discounts might apply. Please ask in advance.
