Japanese in Uptown & Riverbend

Irasshaimase! That's what they yell whenever you enter a business in Japan, and it's what the servers say here as well. New Orleans has been in dire need of a good ramen place, and Nomiya has come to the rescue. Admire the comic-book and graffiti murals, then order your soup and add whatever extras you please.

You can opt for traditional tonkotsu pork broth, or a geki-kara 'too spicy' variant. Otherwise, there's buns and edamame and mochi (rice-cake ice cream), and not much else. No worries, it's all delicious.
