Old Court House

Built in 1732, and now a state-operated museum, this was the first court and state capitol in Delaware. The state colonial assembly met here from 1732 until 1777. Open year-round.

One of three museums overseen by the New Castle Historical Society, this house is a surviving remnant of 1730s colonial opulence. Guided tours available April through December.
