Hermitage Hotel

Hotel in Downtown

Nashville's first million-dollar hotel was a hit with the socialites when it opened in 1910. The beaux-arts lobby feels like a czar's palace, every surface covered in rich tapestries and ornate carvings. The original art-deco men's room, dating from the 1930s, is worth a pop-in, as is the Capital Grille restaurant, which sources from its own farm.

Rooms are upscale, with plush, four-poster beds, marble baths with soaking tubs, and mahogany furniture (ask for those ending in -08 to -14 for Capitol views).
