Cuban in Miami

Although it's way out in the middle of nowhere (20 miles west of Downtown), this place has a loyal following with some of the best Cuban cooking in Miami. The ropa vieja (Cuban-style shredded beef) is delicious and there are nice Spanish touches on the menu (the owner’s father is from the Canary Islands, hence the restaurant’s name).

Don’t pass up the signature homemade chips, especially the ones cut from plantains.
