One of the few pools listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this is a wonderland of rock caves, cascading waterfalls, a palm-fringed island and Venetian-style moorings. Back in 1923, rock was quarried for one of the most beautiful Miami neighborhoods leaving an ugly gash – cleverly, it was laden with mosaic and tiles, and filled up with water.

It looks like a Roman emperor’s aquatic playground, an absolute delight. Take a swim and follow in the footsteps of stars like Esther Williams and Johnny ‘Tarzan’ Weissmuller.
