Welcome to Central Massachusetts
Also referred to as Worcester County, central Massachusetts marks a boundary between Boston's suburbs to the east and vast swatches of farm and hill country to the west. It lacks the visual charm of eastern and western Massachusetts, but it has a few attractions. The city of Worcester (say 'Wooster') dominates the area, offering a worthwhile art museum and classic diners for those who care to stop. A bigger draw is the re-created colonial village of Sturbridge and the enormous antiques market at Brimfield.
