Oregon Trail Interpretive Park

Northeastern Oregon

This park gives a visceral feeling of what travel was like for Oregon Trail pioneers crossing the Blue Mountains. A half-mile, paved interpretive path winds through the forest to ruts left by pioneer wagons – still visible after 150 years. The center is 13 miles west of La Grande and 3 miles on well-marked roads from the freeway exit.
