This easy, 1.8-mile loop trail initially follows Kawaikoi Stream through a grove of Japanese cedar and California redwood trees, rises up on a bluff, then loops back down to the stream before returning to where you started. Find the trailhead upstream from Sugi Grove Campground on Camp 10–Mohihi Rd (4WD only).
To get to the trailhead from the Kokeʻe Museum, turn left onto Hwy 550, then left again at the first dirt road (Mohihi). You'll reach a picnic area after 3.7 miles. Park there, and ford the stream before you continue up to Sugi Grove Campground.
