Enjoy aerial and ground views of the Misty Fjords National Monument on a 90-minute scenic flight which includes a 15 minute landing on a pristine lake or salt water fjord.  As your flight takes off from Ketchikan, you will pass over the Tongass National Forest on your way to the beautiful Misty Fjords National Monument, 2.3 million acres of untouched Alaskan wilderness. You will see stunning blue lakes, snow-capped mountains, glacially carved fjords, and have the opportunity to see wildlife at every turn. Each passenger will have a window seat for amazing photo opportunities and voice activated, noise cancelling headset to enjoy the interactive pilot narration. Your flight includes complementary transportation to and from the Ketchikan Visitors Bureau, on a private shuttle bus.

 

Enjoy complimentary ground transportation to and from the centrally located Ketchikan Visitors Bureau located on Berth 2. After a 10 minute drive to our private seaplane base, your driver will escort you down the ramp to meet your pilot. Before take off, your pilot will give a short safety briefing. After the safety briefing you will board one of our executive class floatplanes, equipped with noise cancelling, voice activated headphones and panoramic windows that offer you a bird’s eye view of the scenery to come. With a guaranteed window seat, you can sit back and relax as you enjoy the incredible views. Your experienced pilot will provide expert commentary along the way.

Departing from Ketchikan, you will first fly over the 700,000 acre expanse of Revillagigedo Island and the Tongass National Forest.  As you soar across the 100 mile stretch of Behm Canal, you will head out to the beautiful Misty Fjords National Monument spanning 2.3 million acres of untouched Alaskan wilderness. While in the air you will see snow-capped mountains, glacially carved fjords, stunning blue lakes and cascading waterfalls. You’ll have the opportunity to land on a pristine lake or salt water fjord before heading back to our seaplane base in Ketchikan. Keep your eye out for wildlife along the way! Please allow a total of 2 hours for this tour. Please note the Ketchikan Visitor's Bureau is a wood sided building with a green metal roof and is located on Berth 2, and is different than the Ketchikan Information Center located on Berth 3.
