Situated upon granite cliffs, this compact state park, occupying the site of a former coastal artillery fort and barracks dating back to as early as 1798, offers sweeping views across to Fort Adams State Park and Newport. The park is popular with fishermen and mariners who use its well-positioned boat ramp to launch their vessels. Many of the park's gun fortifications are still intact but have now become a popular canvas for graffiti.
