Treebones Resort

Cabin in Big Sur

Don’t let the word ‘resort’ throw you. Yes, it has an ocean-view hot tub, heated pool and massage treatments. But a unique woven 'human nest' and canvas-sided yurts with polished pine floors, quilt-covered beds, sink vanities and redwood decks are more like glamping, with little privacy. Communal bathrooms and showers are a short stroll away. Wi-fi in main lodge only.

Basic walk-in campsites (no vehicle access) are also available. Children must be at least six years old. Look for the signposted turnoff a mile north of Gorda, at the southern end of Big Sur.
