HI-Tibbetts Point Lighthouse Hostel is located at the point where Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River meet. After the lighthouse became fully automated in 1976, the Victorian-era lightkeeper’s quarters was converted to a hostel. Explore the Lighthouse Museum next door. HI-Tibbetts Point Lighthouse Hostel offers great facilities including; a self-catering kitchen, beautiful garden, a playground and common rooms. In the town of Cape Vincent, visit the Historical Museum, Fisheries Station - Aquarium and Breakwater Gallery. For a day-trip, explore the Thousand Islands or take the ferry from Cape Vincent to Wolfe Island and Kingston, Ontario, Canada (don’t forget to bring your passport.)
Hostelling International is a member based organization. Guests must present a membership card at check-in or pay a membership fee of USD 3 per night. Please contact the property for more details. Groups welcome, Individual traveller welcome, Lockers available, Self-catering kitchen. Not accessible by public transit. Rates quoted assume guests are members of HI-USA or a National Youth Hostel Association. Check-in Hours are 5-9pm. Summer Hostel/ Open June 12 - September 12, 2015. Please note, this youth hostel has a 10am-5pm lockout. There is no curfew.
