Doris Duke Theatre

Top choice cinema in Honolulu

The Doris Duke Theatre shows a mind-bending array of experimental, alternative, retro-classic and art-house films, especially ground-breaking documentaries, inside the Honolulu Museum of Art. The theater also hosts lectures, performances and concerts. The museum has had a film program from the 1930s, showing classic films in Central Courtyard; screenings moved to what is now the Doris Duke Theatre in 1977.
