Take your need for speed to new heights on this thrilling zipline and Volcano adventure. Enjoy a relaxing drive through Saddle Road with views of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on your way to quaint Hilo town where you’ll drive along the historic waterfront before arriving at the zipline check in location. Covering nearly two miles of gorgeous tropical river gorges, our 8-line zip course is fun for the whole family. View multiple different waterfalls while soaring over 160 feet above them. Our certified staff will guide you over one of the longest lines on Hawaii Island at more than 2,400 feet in length! Ride the only all side-by-side dual-track zipline on Hawaii Island with a deli-style lunch included during the zip. The adventure continues with a drive from the zipline course to the helipads for check in. Eruption activity has been exceptionally high and there’s no better way to see all the action than from a helicopter. We partner with the highest-tech most comfortable helicopter fleet in Hawaii. All seats in these state-of-the-art aircraft have 180 degree views with no bulkhead as in other aircraft. Entire communities destroyed by lava and the coastline completely altered by recent flows will all be visible, along with any current activity. Next, you head out to explore Hawai`i Island with the first stop at Rainbow Falls. This iconic waterfall right off a postcard features an 80 foot tall twin waterfall system. Look for the rainbow effect that gives the waterfall its name! Continue traveling up the Wailuku River to Boiling Pots. Impressive photo opportunities are often found here when the river “boils” through depressions in the rocks. Explore Kaumana Caves, part of the lava tube system that brought lava 1.5 miles from Hilo-town in 1881. Take a peek inside the dramatic cathedral-like space, and then it’s on to the famous Volcano Winery, the southernmost winery in the United States. You’ll sample up to eight different types of wines, varying from sweet to dry, and all with a unique Hawaiian flare. The Volcano Winery also has estate grown teas to taste and soft drinks and water are also included. After sampling beverages, you’ll enjoy a hearty Hawaiian-style BBQ lunch with a complimentary glass of your choice of Volcano Winery wine or other beverage. Complete the day viewing the glow and activity from the current volcanic eruption if it’s available from a safe distance before returning.
