The Sheldon Museum is known for its collection of indigenous artifacts, including a particularly interesting display on rare Chilkat blankets. The rest of the museum is devoted to Haines’ pioneer and gold-rush days, including such treasures as the sawed-off shotgun that trailblazer Jack Dalton used to convince travelers to pay his toll. There's a small gift shop in the entrance.
