A highly recommended trail on the park's eastern fringe, Big Creek is the beautiful stream you'll follow beside on this 5.1-mile (one way) hike. It's a fairly gentle ascent, gaining about 1400ft over its length with some fine spots to enjoy the scenery. Highlights include the Midnight Hole (at mile 1.4), where the stream cascades through huge boulders into a deep, inviting pool.

Further along (around mile 2.0), you'll reach Mouse Creek Falls, where frothy white waters spill some 20ft down gray stone and join up with Big Creek.
