New Mexico's original studio tour is still going strong; it's held the first full weekend in November in scenic Dixon, one hour north of Santa Fe.
This superfriendly place, run by Dixon native Chalako Chilton, serves some of the best green chile you'll find anywhere, plus espresso coffees.
Right where Hwy 68 meets Hwy 75, this winery is run by the genial Padberg brothers, born and raised in Dixon. The Divino and Diavolo reds are the best – and be sure to sample the handmade chocolates.
Award-winning vintner, 2.5 miles east of Hwy 68 along Hwy 75, that only uses New Mexican grapes. As well as offering tastings here, it also runs a tasting room in Taos (103 Bent St).
