Parks & Rec Diner

Diner in Detroit

This homey diner, opened in 2015 in the imposing GAR building, takes its name from the government department that was once housed here. There are no wrong choices from the seasonal menu of sandwiches and brunch dishes like pistachio French toast and panzanella with charred bacon. The fries, seasoned with a BBQ spice, are excellent.

Parks and Rec shares a kitchen (and owners) with the Republic Tavern next door.
