Come for the music, stay for the top-notch soul food – Detroit's longest continuously operating jazz club has made it through 80 years of ups and downs for a reason. It's a character-filled, time-capsule of a space. Tables cluster around the small stage, or sit at the curving art-deco bar, styled as piano keys, and chat with friendly locals.
There's a $10-15 cover charge and a two-drink minimum when a musician is onstage; otherwise entry is free.
