All the usual activities are on offer in summer: there’s mountain biking ($20), a climbing wall, miniature golf and go-cart race track, plus a new forest coaster is in the works. The American Eagle lift (10am to 4pm) leaves you at Solitude Station, where you can have a BBQ lunch and take one of the hiking trails. The chairlift is free, provided you've already spent $12 at the resort.

The Hallelujah Loop is a short nature trail, or take Andy’s Encore to the alpine overlook, then continue cross-country through some loose scree fields to Copper Peak (12,441ft), before hiking back down.
