This is the third West Loop hot spot helmed by star local chef Stephanie Izard, and it focuses on Chinese-inspired dishes. The vast menu sprawls across dim sums, soups, fried rice and main dishes. The thick, doughy, housemade noodles and Peking duck win raves. Eclectic cocktails like the Shanghai-Biscus, made with tequila and hibiscus syrup, add to the remarkable flavors.
The space is divided into several small dining rooms; a different East-meets-West vibe pervades each. A takeout window on the Peoria St side of the restaurant serves up Taiwanese desserts and street food in summer.
