The old customs house building has found new life as a boutique hotel at the Loop’s southern edge. It’s a unique location midway between downtown’s core and the Museum Campus, though not much goes on in the evenings. The modern, black-and-red furnishings are spread out in the well-sized rooms; the bathrooms are flat-out huge. Wi-fi is free.
Breakfast is not included, but there's a good cafe on-site for omelets and creative French-toast dishes. If rates swing up to the high end of the spectrum, you’ll probably get better bang for your buck elsewhere.
