Welcome to Culver City & Mar Vista
Hollywood's less-famous sibling, Culver City has been calling 'Lights, Camera, Action' since the 1920s. It was right here that Dorothy tapped her ruby slippers and that Gene Kelly crooned in the rain. While films and TV shows are still shot here, the place has broken free of its studio-town roots, evolving into a vibrant hub of contemporary-art galleries, design stores and buzzing restaurants. Wedged between it and Santa Monica is Mar Vista, a down-to-earth real-estate hot spot dotted with mid-century abodes and a handful of coffee shops, quirky boutiques and tattoo parlors.
