The most romantic of Beaufort's B&Bs, this sumptuously grand white-columned mansion is straight out of Gone with the Wind. Antique furnishings are found throughout, but monochromatic walls add a fresh, modern feel. Some rooms have a river view (three have fireplaces). On his march through the South in 1865, General William T Sherman slept at the house.
You'll be smitten from the parking lot – the front gardens are gorgeous.
